What is DonorsResource.org and how was it started?
DonorsResource.org is the brainchild of our parent organization, Sisters of the Community (SOC), a 501(c)(3) organization created to distribute goods to families in need. SOC faced the same problem as many nonprofits: countless calls from generous individuals wanting to donate items but not knowing how to find the best nonprofit to receive their gifts.

After distributing over 20,000 household items within eighteen months to community families, SOC realized the need for an online solution that allows the end user to easily find nonprofit organizations in a variety of ways—items needed by organization, causes supported, by name or zip code in either Oregon and SW Washington. What regions does DonorsResource.org support?
Currently we support the states of Oregon and Washington. With time, we hope to expand this tool nationwide.

Does DonorsResource.org receive any portion of the items or resources donated to other organizations listed on the site?
No, we do not receive or take any part in the storage or delivery of items and/or resources donated to organizations.

How is DonorsResource.org funded?
DonorsResource.org is funded by grants and corporate sponsorships.

How will DonorsResource.org be marketed?
DonorsResource.org will be marketed via mass media to the general public.

How does an organization sign up?
Click here to get started! Virtually all organizations are posted within three days of receipt. However, DonorsResource.org does retain the right to refuse to list any organization.

How many times can an organization list in a year?
There are no additional fees or limits to how many times or categories under which your organization can list with DonorsResource.org once your application have been remitted and approved.

What if an organization lists with DonorsResource.org and has a change?
